Maryland Music Awards tickets going fast Posted by Kim Allegrezza (examiner.com)
The time has come to once again celebrate Maryland music and all the incredible talent emerging out of the state. The second annual Maryland Music Awards will take place on Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Kraushaar Auditorium located on the Goucher College campus in Baltimore. This will be a televised event presented on local TV at a later date. The always entertaining Mickey Cucchiella will be back again to host this year. The goal behind the Maryland Music Awards has always been to give local talent the opportunity to be formally recognized by their peers all while raising money for The Nicole Van Horn Foundation.
Proceeds from the show go to benefit children battling cancer. The Nicole Van Horn Foundation is an organization dedicated to raising money to help terminally-ill children through the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology Center and the Believe in Tomorrow Foundation. To learn more about the foundation or to make a donation visit their webpage here.
Besides shining a light on the need to help raise money for such a wonderful foundation, the Maryland Music Awards highlights the great musicians and music the state of Maryland has to offer. Fans nominated their favorite local bands and musicians for various categories through the Maryland Music Award’s Facebook page. Final judging will be completed by radio personalities, promoters, and other local music and entertainment industry professionals.
VIP entry takes place at 7:30 pm and General Admission starts at 8:30 pm. The awards show and performances begin at 9:00 pm. VIP tickets include early admission and a pre-show party where attendees will have the opportunity to mix with the bands and presenters. Auction items and finger food will be available as well. VIP seats will be located in the front rows of the concert hall. VIP tickets are $75, General Admission seats cost $45 and both are available for purchase on Mission Tix. According to the Maryland Music Awards Facebook page each band has coupon codes to help their fans save $10 on tickets. Follow the Maryland Music Awards on Twitter and Facebook for future updates.
