Godsmack, STP To Headline Shindig Posted by Pollstar.com

Baltimore’s third annual Shindig Music Festival announced its lineup today. Along with Godsmack and Stone Temple Pilots, the one-day event will include performances by Anthrax, Chevelle, Helmet, Reverend Horton Heat and more.

Taking place at Carroll Park Sept. 19, Shindig will also welcome Nothing More and Crobot as well as homegrown talent Silvertung, Black Angel Down and More To Monroe. The festival teased that it will add a “Shindig favorite” to the lineup sometime after May 16.

Shindig – curated by Maryland indie promoter Paul Manna of 24-7 Entertainment – features two main stages with no overlapping sets. Attractions include the Ripley’s “Believe It Or Not” sidestage featuring local shock-rockers Dingleberry Dynasty, plus sword swallowers, fire breathers, aerial acrobats, burlesque entertainers and more.

“I was born and raised in Baltimore and creating a festival vibe we haven’t seen here was my goal,” Manna said. “I think the unique charm and laid back feel of The Shindig is palpable from the moment you step on the grounds. I’m very grateful for the thousands of fans who come out each year to share in the festival experience we passionately work so hard attempting to perfect.”

An early bird presale begins May 6 at 10 a.m. and runs through May 7 at midnight. General onsales launch May 8 at 10 a.m. All times EDT.
