East Coast Maryland rockers SILVERTUNG are comprised of vocalist Speed, guitarist Codey, bassist Skoot, and drummer Danno. The band have created a tremendous regional buzz on the strength of their live show, which has seen them share the stage with countless national acts along with winning “Breakout Artist” and “Best Heavy Metal Artist” at the Maryland Music Awards this year!

The band’s last single “Face The Music” tore up the Under The Radar and Billboard BDS Rock Radio chart. Their current single, “Devil’s Advocate” entered Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Radio Most Added chart the first week of release and has been consistently climbing at these formats, giving some of the top national acts a run for their money. According to vocalist Speed, “We were experimenting with new ideas during our writing sessions and we walked away from the studio after recording feeling like we really gave it all we have.”
And giving it all they have is exactly what SILVERTUNG has been doing ever since. The band tapped producer Steven Wright to record their new album “Out Of The Box”. Steven, who has worked with everyone from Slipknot to Avril Lavigne, took the band on the creative musical journey they needed in order to set them apart from the countless other rock acts flooding the scene. The result is a high energy, original sounding slab of “In your face” hard rock that will be sure to continue to turn the heads of music fans worldwide.
All these things have earned them their solid reputation, and their ever growing legion of fans, known as “The Tung Nation.” “We can’t thank our fans enough”, says co-writer and drummer “Danno”. “Let’s face it, without there is no Us. We are the Madness, The freak, the missing link… We are apart of the big Connection.
Silvertung has shared the stage with national acts: Godsmack, Disturbed, Shinedown, Slipknot, Chevelle, Staind, Papa Roach, Adelitas Way, Buckcherry, Hailstorm, My Darkest Days, Filter, Drowning Pool, P.O.D., Pop Evil, Nonpoint, Charm City Devils, Smile Empty Soul and In This Moment, just to name a few. When you see Silvertung live, be prepared to have your fist pumping in the air and your heart racing.
Silvertung’s musical marksmanship, high energy stage show, and crowd interaction all add up to a recipe for an exhilarating experience. Lead Guitarist Codey has this to say; “We are absolutely passionate about live music. It’s this exchange of energy from us to the crowd, then from the crowd right back to us.. There is nothing else like it in the world. When the fans are singing our music back to us word for word, and their volume is louder than ours,.. Wow.. It doesn’t get any better than that”.

With the release of the new CD “Out of the Box” on Pavement Entertainment – so many great opportunities coming up, and many more songs being written, they will continue to grow. Look for the band on the road in late October as part of the “Hit The Pavement” tour starting in the Northeast, then swinging down South, and finally in the Mid-West!
