Silvertung featured story on Bandwidth Daily! Posted by www.bndwdth.media

"We’ve been very lucky to have a few. Our latest single, 'Face The Music' hit the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock Radio Chart within the first month of release! This is our second Billboard chart hit. Last year our single, 'Never Too Late,' was our first Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock Chart hit. Having that kind of radio support has been huge and we’re very thankful for that ..."

BANDWIDTH DAILY: Silvertung is on the rise! How'd you get into music?

SPEED: Originally I formed the band with some different players, but got to the point where I was all but drained. Then I met Skoot (bass) and he listened to some of the demos tracks, and said, ‘These are great. I want to help.’ Soon after we met Danno (drums) and began writing new songs. We started performing in the Mid-Atlantic area and did few national shows and short tours on the East Coast. We had a few different guitarists that didn’t work out until we met Codey through one of our social sites. When Codey came in to audition, we knew before we finish the first song that he was our guy. He performed the songs with us like he had been in the band for years.

BANDWIDTH DAILY: The music biz is a rollercoaster, what are some of your proudest moments?

SPEED: We’ve been very lucky to have a few. Our latest single, “Face The Music” hit the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock Radio Chart within the first month of release! This is our second Billboard chart hit. Last year our single, “Never Too Late,” was our first Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock Chart hit. Having that kind of radio support has been huge and we’re very thankful for that. Our video for “Face The Music” has been streaming on our YouTube channel and it’s already over 50 thousand views in 8 weeks. Another proud moment is being nominated for two Maryland Music Awards last month. We’ve been nominated in the categories of “Breakout Artist” and “Best Heavy Metal, plus they asked us to perform at the show, which is going to be televised. Just two weeks ago, we were approached by a few record companies and offered a recording deal. We sat down with our manager and attorney, weighted our options and have decided to sign with Pavement Music, who are distributed by SONY/RED in the US and Membran Entertainment Group in the rest of the world.

BANDWIDTH DAILY: Building and keeping momentum is key to success, what new music or events are on the way?

SPEED: We’re still supporting our single, “Face The Music” at radio, and we’ve been in the studio finishing up the tracks for our new release, “OUT OF THE BOX.” That will be released sometime in late May/June on Pavement Music. The guys at Pavement are very excited about the release and currently planning on another radio single, “Devil’s Advocate” to coincide with the CD release. This past week we signed a sponsorship deal with Coldcock Whiskey. We love that stuff and are proud they asked to endorse us. Coldcock along with our manager, publicist, agent, radio team and Pavement Music are all researching upcoming tours and trying to align us with a good package to get out and play for people. I believe our live show is our real strength. We’re a very intense, high energy live band.
